A word from Greg on the Homestead Strings Set-Up

All instruments, new or used, for sale or rent, go through rigorous play testing and quality control. I understand that sound, feel, and look are important to players from professionals to the youngest of students. Instruments need to work properly and feel good.

All aspects of string instrument set up and adjustment are interconnected--change one thing, and something else will change with it. String instruments are an art and a science. Whether I'm setting up a student instrument, or adjusting an instrument for a discriminating player, I blend the science of bowed strings with my intuition as a violinist and teacher in order to make each instrument the best it can be.
